Ocoee Adventure

I survived my first official camping experience!  The hubby, me and 12 of our wonderful friends drove to Benton, TN to camp out on the Ocoee River.  As you can imagine, I was not at all excited for this....being outdoors is not my thing.  But...we had a great time!  The view was beautiful from the area that we were camping at.

The best part of the weekend was white water rafting.  I was scared to death, but peer pressure took over and I jumped in a raft!  It was a blast and I would do it again anytime. (See below my terrible rafting gear)

I have got a very busy day, so I will catch up later!  Much love

A couple newbies!

This past weekend was my birthday weekend (not disclosing age) so I did a lot of shopping with my mom.  I will share my birthday adventures in another post soon!  Ok, here are my loves now....

Urban Decay's Naked:  This is one of the first eyeshadow palette's that actually has great pigment!  The colors are gorgeous and so so easy to work with.  Also, there are a ton of great looks you can do with it.  This product is worth every penny!

Benefit's High Beam:  This adds the perfect amount of highlight to any area.  Love it on the cheek bones and a little on the nose.  A little goes a long way so this should last forever!  Gorgeous for a summer kissed look.

Now I'm on the search for the best mascara in the world lol.  Any suggestions?

Thumbs Down!

Recently I tried getting Shellac on my nails.  Everyone is just crazy about it so I figured it was worth a shot.  Terrible idea!  For anyone who has weaker nails like myself, this is NOT going to make them stronger.  It was very shiny and had no chance of smudging, but it did chip on the very first day.  Not to mention this is more expensive than my regular set of nails.  So the verdict is that this is not a great choice for those that are used to acrylic.

All About Skin Care

For many years I have been dealing with the worst skin problems.  Mainly acne, dry skin, sensitive, and most recently some fine lines have started to show.  EEEEKKK!  So here are some reviews on my latest favorite skin products:

The Clarisonic

This is pretty much a must have of every woman's skin care routine.  It's very gentle and yet removes 6x more impurities than manual cleansing.  The best part is that after using, it allows better absorption of serums and moisturizers.  My skin feels so much smoother after using.   The Clarisonic also comes with a brush head for the body which is perfect for exfoliating before self-tanner. :)

Peter Thomas Roth's Acne Spot Treatment

Sephora gave me a sample of this to try out since I am so skeptical about any acne treatment. (I've been through too many with no results) BUT......this is amazing!  It really did work overnight.  Of course I still had redness, but the pimple was gone!  I will be going to purchase the full size soon.

I recently bought Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty skin care system so I will be sure to post about that after using.  Also, Latisse results coming up soon!

Wonderful Weekend

Our weekend in Missouri with my parents was wonderful!  I always return so relaxed and refreshed.  Being around people you love can do that for you :)  Here are a few pictures from the holiday:

Elvir's first fish ever!

My sweet parents

The hubby and I

So as you can see in the picture above, I have a lot of work to do on my body and what I ate this past weekend sure didn't help! hehehe...
Back to the diet!  This time I am doing a more gentle approach and following Weight Watchers which is a very healthy (slower) way to lose weight.  I go to my first weigh in the Thursday and I'll let you know how it turns out...eeek!

Right now some friends of ours our planning a beach trip this weekend so I'll be sure to post pictures from that as well.

Consistancy is not my thing....

Obviously.  I feel like the last few weeks I have been on a break from life.  We were so busy in the month of April that I crashed in May.  But now I'm back to my normal schedule I hope!  Since my wonderful work out partners left for Europe until November, I am finding new ways to work out in solitude.  I think it's worth a shot!  With that said, I have started the Couch to 5K plan.  I've ran in the past, but always slack off at some point.  I did the first run last night and felt it was a little too easy, but I'm sure I'll miss it in a few weeks when I'm running like crazy!  On my off days from running, I'm either taking a class or doing weight training with my husband.  I love switching up my eating or work out schedules to see how my body reacts.  You can always discover new muscles!!

Ok, food love of the week:  Bagel Thins

At only 110 calories these things are amazing!  I put a little peanut butter on them, but I'm probably about to drop that excess sugar out soon.

Also, Coach Beauty:

I had been a little obsessed with this scent and my friends Jelena and Nina got me the travel size as a little thank you.  I love it!!  It has a very fresh smell and not too strong.

On a sadder note,  I am praying everyday for those in Joplin, MO who have lost so much due to the tornado.  I urge anyone who can donate to do so.  Red Cross is always a good place to start.

We will be heading to Missouri this weekend to see my parents for Memorial Day and we hope to volunteer to help the city of Joplin while there.

Hope you all have an amazing Memorial Day!!!

What a crazy weekend!

If you had been in my shoes, you would know why it has taken me so long to update this!  So this past weekend was my sister-in-law's wedding.  It was my first full blown Bosnian traditional wedding I've been to.  To say the least it was interesting........but Sandra was gorgeous!

Also, my parents were in town which was wonderful right before Mother's Day!

I've decided to stay in this weekend and just rest after the crazy month of April.  I sure do need it!

Soon my beloved gym partner Jelena and Nina will be heading to Europe for the rest of the year so I'm going to probably start doing a few more work out videos.  Any great suggestions?  This is what I have at home to work with:

Ok, so maybe the flirty girl can't really be considered a work out hahaha.
